While many may have written the eulogy for the Galaxy Note series, Samsung appears to have other ideas. Although the Galaxy S series has picked up many of the Note’s features (especially the S Ultra handsets) Samsung has said that a new Note series handset will be with us in 2021.

Now we can take a closer look at what to expect in the new handset.

These images have been put together by the teams at Snoreyn and Let’s Go Digital. Echoing the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Galaxy Note 21 will have the customary large screen and battery life seen in the pervious Note models, Unlike the S21 Ultra, you can expect to see built in storage for the S-Pen stylus.

There is one big logical leap on show, and that’s the inclusion of a ‘Fan Edition’ in 2021’s Galaxy Note family. This echoes the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition launched in September last year, some six months after the main handset line, to critical acclaim.

So why go with a Fan Edition for this product concept? It’s all to do with the crossover between the S and the Note. The Note range is beloved by many, and there is value in announcing any model as potential the final model. Ilse Jurrien for Let’s Go Digital:

“As far as we are concerned, it is therefore inconceivable that Samsung will say goodbye to the famous Note line-up without releasing at least one final model. It is possible that this model will become a Fan Edition, especially for the fans.”

If the South Korean company is going to keep the phablet up to date, then I would expect to see a launch in mid- to late-August, jsut as we have in previous years.
